Kill any animal showing signs of rabies and inform a veterinary officer so the animal can be tested. Bury the dead animal immediately and do NOT eat any meat or milk from animals with rabies. Anyone bitten by the animal should wash the wound and seek treatment IMMEDIATELY at the hospital. When they get to hospital, they should inform the personnel that they were bitten by a dog and that they need a rabies vaccine.
