Usually thrombocytopenia causes no symptoms, but when it causes some symptoms, they can include:easy or excessive bruising, bleeding into the skin that appears as a rash(petechiae), usually on the lower legs, prolonged bleeding from cuts, bleeding from the gums or nose, blood in urine or stools, unusually heavy menstrual flows and profuse bleeding during surgery or after dental work.
