The most common symptom of eczema is itching. The areas affected vary from age to age. Infants have their face, trunk and outer parts of their arms and legs affected. Children are usually affected in their elbows and behind the knees. The face, neck, upper chest and genital areas are affected in adults. The condition develops from red itchy patches, that may grow into blisters and later dry out into crusts. The area may look darker that the rest of the skin.
