Common allergy symptoms include itchy or watery eyes, sneezing, runny nose, rashes and feeling tired or ill. An allergic reaction to food can cause stomach cramps, vomiting and diarrhoea. An allergic reaction to a sting or bite from an insect causes swelling, redness and pain. Most symptoms of an allergic reaction go away shortly after exposure stops. Allergies may be triggers for asthma, so be careful to avoid them if you know what you are allergic to.
