Abuse is the cruel treatment of another person. There are different kinds of abuse. Physical abuse is the act of hitting another person and it is usually done repeatedly. When rape occurs it is termed as sexual assault. Psychological / emotional abuse is another form, e. g. when a child is repeatedly sent to sleep without meals.
