Child abuse is the physical, psychological or sexual mistreatment of children. This could be causing children bodily harm, subjecting them to fear or shame, involving them in sexual acts or showing them pornographic materials. Neglecting a child's needs like food, clothing, shelter, education and affection is also child abuse. Child abuse mostly happens in the child's home and is often kept secret. It is everyone's responsibility to stop child abuse.
