Milk is produced by a woman's breasts when she is pregnant. Feeding a newborn baby with this milk is an excellent way of giving it lots of nutrients and developing its immune system. It also prevents the baby from getting diarrhoea from dirty water/food. Breastfeeding can be dangerous for a baby if the mother is taking certain medication, has TB, HIV or some other illnesses.
