Symptoms of convulsions include: a brief blackout followed by a period of confusion, loss of saliva or bubbles from the mouth, eye movements, loss of bladder or bowel control, sudden falling, teeth clenching, temporary halt in breathing, uncontrollable muscle spasms with twitching and jerking of the limbs, unusual behaviour like sudden anger, sudden laughter, or picking at one's clothing. Keeping fevers under control, especially in children, prevents convulsions.
