Kidney disease (also known as chronic renal failure or insufficiency) usually happens over time as a result of damage to the kidneys. Common causes of kidney damage include high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney infections, a blocked renal artery and long-term use of medicines that such as ibuprofen.
