Treatments for orchitis may include; Antibiotics used especially if the infection is caused by bacteria(in the case of gonorrhea or chlamydia and sexual partners must also be treated), anti-inflammatory medications used for viral orchitis, especially the type associated with mumps, pain medications and bed rest with the scrotum elevated and ice packs applied to the area.
