Your doctor will examine you looking for abnormal heart sounds called murmurs. The diagnosis is usually confirmed by a test called echocardiogram which picks the defect with accuracy and even grades it. An electrocardiography (ECG) may sometimes be done to assess the severity of the tricuspid stenosis.
