Pulmonary stenosis refers to the narrowing of the pulmonary valve that carries de-oxygenated blood from your heart(right ventricle) to the pulmonary artery. This artery then takes the blood to the lungs to pick up oxygen. It is a congenital heart defect meaning that it is present from birth in newborn babies.
