For myocarditis, there are various tests performed to detect abnormal functioning of the heart. Blood tests are done to detect the heart muscle enzymes released after myocardial damage. An electrocardiogram is taken to determine the electrical activity of the heart and a nuclear heart test to show the irregular areas of the heart muscle.
