Treatment of severe sepsis will vary for each patient depending on the initial infection, the organs affected and the extent of damage. Early, aggressive treatment boosts the chances of surviving sepsis. People with severe sepsis require close monitoring and treatment in a hospital intensive care unit. Treatment include; antibotics, vasopressors(medicines used to treat low blood pressure), therapy and surgery may be needed to remove sources of infection.
