Croup usually starts like a cold:a runny nose, cough and slight temperature. Then the child wakes at night with a barking cough and difficulty breathing, which can last up to 2hr and return for 2-3nights. The symptoms are:noisy and difficult breathing, harsh cough, hoarse voice-depending on how severe the illness is.
