Diagnosis of tricuspid insufficiency is based on your symptoms and examination especially of your chest. Your doctor will also ask for images of the heart as it beats (an echocardiogram). An X-ray of the chest may also be done. Blood tests to detect what could be predisposing you to this condition will be done.
