Diagnosis is aided by use of a resting electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) that may be normal or show evidence of a previous heart disease. An exercise tolerance test (ETT) is also of benefit when combined with simultaneous monitoring of your other vital signs e. g. blood pressure and ECG. Other forms of stress testing include myocardial perfusion scanning and stress echocardiography. Coronary arteriography may also be useful.
