Treatment primarily involves control of risk factors. Medications will be prescribed to you to prevent more clots blocking your heart's blood supply e. g. antiplatelet medication like aspirin, Anti-anginal drugs e. g, nitroglycerine are used to relieve attacks. Beta blockers can be used to lower stress on your heart. Other drugs used include; calcium channel antagonists, potassium channel activators and ivabradine.
