Gum disease is common in adults but can also affect children. Good dental habits are the best way to prevent gum disease. Brush your teeth at least 2 times a day, in the morning and before bedtime, visit your dentist for regular check-ups and teeth cleaning at least twice a year and avoid smoking. If you have mild gum disease, keep your teeth and gums healthy, get regular check-ups to control the disease.
