Children under 5 years are at an increased risk of getting malaria because of low or reduced immunity to fight the infection. Malaria can lead to developmental problems for a child and result in anaemia. It can also stunt growth and it can result in death if not treated in time. To protect against malaria, children should sleep under a long-lasting insecticide-treated net EVERY night.
