Most people have felt sad or depressed at times, as a normal reaction to loss and life struggles. BUT depression that interrupts your usual routine for weeks is no longer normal and requires medical help. Depression can be genetic and usually starts between age 15 to 30.It is more common in women, especially after childbirth. Treatment can include counselling, medication and lifestyle changes.
