Measles is a dangerous disease affecting children. It reduces children's resistance to illness and makes them more likely to die when they are malnourished or suffering from other diseases. It is spread through person-to-person contact. Signs can be fever, rash, runny nose, cough, red and watery eyes. Immunisation is the best prevention.
