If you are pregnant and the doctor diagnoses you with genital lice (crabs), tell him/her that you are expecting as you may need different treatment to protect your unborn child. Good hygiene is very important when treating lice. All sex partners from the last 6 weeks must be treated to stop reinfection. Wash all bed linen/towels in hot water or leave in a bag for 3 days to kill lice. Symptoms of lice are similar to signs of other infections so always get proper diagnosis from a doctor.
