Pancytopenia is a medical condition where there is a reduced number of all types of blood cells(red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets).Causes of pancytopenia may differ from one case to the next and can include leukemia, certain drugs, infections, bone marrow disease, chemotherapy, HIV and exposure to toxins. Pancytopenia treatment may differ depending upon the cause of the condition and the individual patient.
