White/light yellowish fluid from the vagina (called discharge) is normal. It helps keep the vagina clean and healthy. If the amount/color of your discharge changes or it is smelly, very yellow, green or itchy you may have an infection or Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI). Go to clinic IMMEDIATELY-untreated infections can cause serious illness and infertility. ALL sex partners must be treated or you will get infected with the STI again. Use condoms to reduce the risk of STIs and HIV.
