Herpes is usually classified as HIV stage 2 in HIV positive people. The sores can be 5cm big in people with weak immune systems. If sores stay for longer than 1 month, the herpes is classified as stage 4.Treatment can quickly reduce pain and helps sores heal. Make sure you are not given penicillin injections or erythromycin pills. ALWAYS tell a health worker your status before taking any medicine.
