Cellulitis symptoms include a hot, red swollen and painful area of the skin and deeper tissues. Fever, chills and swollen glands may develop as the infection spreads and oozing of pus and fluid where the bacteria entered the skin. Cellulitis can occur anywhere on the body, but it often occurs on the legs, face and arms. In children, it is common on the face, which can lead to a dangerous eye infection. Seek diagnosis and treatment from the nearest health unit if you think you have cellulitis and make sure the medicine you receive includes antibiotics.
