Abortion is when a pregnancy ends early. There are 2 types of abortion-planned and unplanned. Unplanned abortion is also called miscarriage-it may happen as a result of malaria, if the womb is weak or if the fetus (unborn baby) is not normal. Planned abortion is when someone decides to end the pregnancy using herbs/drugs/hard instruments. This type of abortion can be very dangerous-if it is not done medically it can cause excessive bleeding, damage to internal organs, infertility or death.
