Most heat rashes heal on their own. To relieve symptoms in children, remove or loosen clothing to help the baby cool and let the skin get free air. If your baby's skin is irritable to touch, seek medical assistance from a qualified health worker on what to use. Avoid ointments or lotions as they can irritate the skin. To prevent heat rash in a baby, dress the baby in as few clothes as possible during hot seasons and keep the skin and sleeping area cool and dry.
