Renal(kidney) cancer is a lump created by an abnormal and uncontrolled growth of cells in the kidney. It's sometimes referred to as renal cancer. It's more common in men than women. Kidney cancer is rare in people under 40, but the rate then increases with age. Kidney cancer usually only affects one kidney.
