Lip cancer can be treated and even cured if caught in the earliest stages of the disease. Untreated lip cancer can spread more deeply in the mouth and neck. In advanced stages, lip cancer can metastasize(spread to form another cancerous tumor) to other parts of the body spread through the lymph glands and blood.
