When using a sauna:don't take alcohol or eat; older people, people with heart ailments or respiratory diseases should avoid a sauna; avoid medications before using the sauna; if one experiences dizziness, problems with breathing or general feeling of ill health, leave the sauna immediately; cool down gradually afterward; take 2-4 glasses of cool water after leaving a sauna and do not use a sauna when sick. If concerned please ask the doctor whether you should use a sauna.
