Dressler's syndrome may lead to build up of fluids around the lungs which makes breathing difficult and may at times force your doctor to admit you for ventilation (breathing with the aid of a machine). Another complication is a condition where the heart is constricted(cardiac tamponade) and eventually constrictive pericarditis (inflammation of the covering of the heart with the heart beeing squeezed tightly).
