Chickenpox is a contagious illness caused by a virus. It mainly affects children under 10.The main symptom is itchy spots, which may spread from face to most parts of the body. Most people get better without treatment, but you may want to treat the symptoms. Once your symptoms have gone, the virus stays in your body and can re-activate, causing shingles. Chickenpox can be more dangerous for pregnant women.
