If you get infected with the bacteria that causes yaws, you are likely to develop a single skin lesion(a bump, often called the mother yaw) at the point of entry-which may be the face, hands, genitalia. Without treatment, the bumps spread across the body. You may get a swelling of nearby lymph nodes.
