Skin bleaching is the application of ointments or creams containing either hydroquinone or mercury chemicals to the skin to lighten the skin color. The chemicals cause skin bleaching by destroying the pigment found in the top layer of the skin and killing cells that produce the skin pigment. Skin bleaching damages the skin and increases chances of skin cancer and also damages the kidney and liver because of chemicals used. Avoid all skin bleaching creams or ointments for your health.
