Dressler's syndrome is usually diagnosed based on the clinical history and examination your doctor does. This usually suggests a recent period of heart attack and /or heart surgery. Some tests may be done to confirm the diagnosis. Your doctor may order an electrocardiogram (ECG) and look at the pattern. She/he may also need to do some enzyme assays and check their level of rise in blood. These may include troponin and various others.
