To make a diagnosis of nephrotic syndrome, your doctor will take full medical history, perform a physical exam and order some tests to see how well your kidneys are working. The tests may include a 24hr urine protein measurement, lipid profile, kidney biopsy, glucose levels, hepatitisB and C antibodies and rheumatoid factor.
