Chronic sinusitis could cause serious complications including: spreading infection to the eye, causing decreased vision; spreading infection to the membranes of the brain and the spinal cord(meningitis). A serious complication is the formation of blood clots in the brain which could cut blood flow to certain areas of the brain leading to stroke.
