Prevention of pulmonary hypertension is focused on managing the risk factors. Some underlying conditions are unavoidable, e. g rheumatoid arthritis. However, if these underlying conditions are detected early and treated appropriately, the risk of pulmonary hypertension may be reduced or eliminated.
