Pemphigus vulgaris is a skin condition characterised by the eruption of blisters. This usually occurs on mucous membranes, eg inside your mouth, the inner part of the eyelid, etc. It is thought to be due to an immunity disorder in which the body's immune system attacks itself, as happens in lupus.
