You might experience symptoms, eg shortness of breath, sharp chest pain made worse by a deep breath or a cough. A larger pneumothorax will cause more severe symptoms, incl chest tightness, getting tired easily, fast heart rate and pale bluish colour of the skin caused by lack of oxygen. Symptoms may begin during rest or sleep.
