Like most people with this infection, you may never have symptoms. Others may have symptoms of a cold, flu or even pneumonia. If symptoms occur, they typically start 5-21days after being exposed to the fungus. They include:change in mental status, chest pain (can vary from mild to severe) and cough, possibly producing blood. Others may include:fever, headache, joint stiffness and pain, muscle weakness, neck stiffness and even weight loss.
