Acute coccidioidomycosis almost always goes away without treatment. Your doctor may prescribe bed rest and treatment of flu-like symptoms until fever disappears. However, disseminated or severe coccidioidomycosis should be treated with amphotericin B, ketoconazole or other recommended antifungal drugs.
