In dermatophytosis(Tinea cruris, eczema marginatum, jock itch or ringworm of the groin), the infection presents as a rash with a scaly raised red border that spreads down the inner thighs from the groin or scrotum. Tinea cruris may also create ring-like patterns on the buttocks. It does not usually affect the penis, vulva or anus.
