Dermatophytosis or 'ringworm' is a clinical condition caused by fungal infection that may infect your skin, your pets(eg cats) and domesticated animals(eg sheep and cattle).Calling it 'ringworm' is not really correct because it is caused by fungi of several different types and not by 'worms'.
