Although several different treatments have been tested, there is no medicines approved for treating Dupuytren's contracture. The medicine, gamma-interferon, may help to treat the condition, but more information is needed about its effectiveness. Another treatment under investigation is an injection of an enzyme called collagenase, which breaks down the cord causing the condition.
