If your partner refuses to test for HIV or Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) explain to them the risks of not testing-untreated STIs can cause infertility and serious illness. Early management of HIV can help you live a healthy life. Tell them that many STIs, including HIV, have no signs so even if they have no symptoms they may be infected. Until your partner tests protect yourself by abstaining or using condoms EVERY TIME you have sex. If you find you have an STI, all sex partners must be treated to prevent getting infected again.
