Different Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) are diagnosed by different tests. Some test urine or blood. Some involve examination of private parts. Don't worry-the tests take little time and should not be painful. In government hospitals tests should be free or very subsidized. If you think you may have an STI get tested and treated at a health centre straight away. Untreated STIs may cause infertility in men and women. All sex partners must be treated to avoid reinfection.
