Sweating is when the body releases fluid through the sweat glands in the skin. Sweating is a normal function and helps the body stay cool. Sweating is usually caused by exercise and warm environments. Other causes include infection, low blood sugar, menopause and eating spicy foods. Visit the nearest health unit for treatment if sweating is accompanied by fever, weight loss, pain, rapid heartbeat or difficulty breathing, as these symptoms may indicate a health problem or infection.
